Ghost Town Blues Band

March 10, 2018

Coming from Memphis, renowned as a true soul music city, the Ghost Town Blues Band make a tribute to his hometown. With its passionate brass, funky New Orleans-inspired groove, soft harmonies and some unusual instruments, the GTBB creates a unique sound signature.

With a three-stringed cigar-box guitar and a hip-hop trombonist in the band, it's no surprise that Living Blues magazine proclaimed it "21st-century blues at its best."

Blackburn

April 13, 2018

Their newest album Brothers in this World was nominated for a JUNO Award for Best Album in Canada!

A musical family whose name is closely linked to Canada's musical and social history, Blackburn is composed of four talented brothers. The family’s ancestors played a role in the underground railroad, which allowed slaves to be transported North.

The latest family history includes a father who has distinguished himself as an unavoidable of the Toronto R & B scene. It was therefore natural to form a group that would celebrate and perpetuate the family tradition. Their albums and performances are a mix of soul, R & B, funk and, of course, blues.

Mo Blues, an artist from the Mauricie area, will open the night for Blackburn.
