In 2011, three years after its debut, the festival was presenting its content on two main stages with corporate suites, 15 restaurants / bars participants offering free performances and a show was held on a cruise ship on the St. Lawrence. La Relève, a talent contest, was also introduced that year and indoor shows were added to the bill. The wholet Des Forges street was filled with popular animation and activities for the whole family, craft booths, all over a period of 11 days.
The 2012 has thrilled the entire city to the sound of the blues. In addition to all that was in place during the 2011, 3 new bars / restaurants have joined the event. Also, due to the great popularity of the blues cruise, whose seats were sold in just four weeks, the committee decided to add a second. The festival has provided an opportunity for amateur groups, without age restriction, to appear in a contest that gave the winner a chance to perform on the main stage of the 2012 festival.
The year 2013 was held over four days of programming, many discoveries including Jonathan Boogie Long, Popa Chubby and Anna Popovic. The quality of our programming brings to our festival great credibility with the public and the world of the blues. Quebec artists from across Canada, the United States and Europe are part of our bill. Our scout team, including Trois-Rivières en Blues president, Christian Gamache, who plays blues groups in the past twenty years, associated with different producers, mainly Zeb Production, specializing in the production of shows with blues artists from across North America and Europe, is in charge of programming. Other members of the organization, attend the international competition of blues in Memphis, where more than 200 groups perform each year, to establish contacts with organizations elsewhere in the world. Already musicians who won this competition were part of the 2011 edition of Trois-Rivières en Blues.
Our audience comes from the immediate region of La Mauricie, elsewhere in Quebec and from all over the eastern region to assist in the delivery of different artists.
