TROIS-RIVIÈRES EN BLUES: Discover the free DOWNTOWN program!

Trois-Rivières, August 13, 2019 - The Trois-Rivières en Blues organization is proud to present all the artists who will be part of the free program of the Nappa Fix Auto stage on Badeaux Street, as well as the bars and restaurants in downtown Trois-Rivières.The event, which will take place from Thursday, August 22nd to Sunday, August 25th, 2019, invites blues fans to an unmissable gathering for a flamboyant 11th edition.

Over all, 25 artists will perform on the various platforms of downtown in 10 bars and restaurants and on the outdoor stage for a total of 42 free shows!

Nappa Fix Auto Stage - Free

Located on Badeaux Street in downtown Trois-Rivières, the Nappa Fix Auto stage will welcome several talented artists during the four days of festivities, all offered free to festival-goers.

Thursday, August 22, at 7 :30 PM, the festival welcomes Endrick & The Sandwiches for the first time for a stimulating blues rock evening. On Friday, August 23rd, Rick Estrin & The Night Cats will storm the stage at 7:30 PM for a party with the California harmonica player. On Saturday, August 24, the blues day begins at 12:30 PM with South Breeze followed by Danielle Nicole in a duet, Ben Racine Band, Lachy Doley and Paul Deslauriers Band. The day would not be complete without an evening show with Jack of Keyzer at 7:30 PM, a Canadian blues icon that passport holders at the Cogeco Amphitheatre will have seen as Melissa Etheridge's opening Thursday. To conclude Trois-Rivières en Blues, the festival-goers will be able to attend, Sunday, August 25, the contest Québec in Memphis as of 12 :30 PM. The winner will be able to represent the Montreal Blues Society in Memphis during the 36th presentation of the International Blues Challenge in 2020. Come and encourage the 5 artists during this competition which will take place on Badeaux Street! After this exciting event, do not miss Breen Leboeuf with Night Bluemers at 3:15 PM, followed by Steve Strongman Band at 5:00 PM and Blackburn at 6:30 PM. The Trois-Rivières en Blues festival will end with the Danielle Nicole Band at 8 PM on the Nappa Fix Auto stage on Badeaux Street.

Shows in several downtown establishments – Free

10 bars and restaurants will host the shows of different blues artists from August 22 to 25. From 6:30 PM each evening, these performances can be seen at The House of Debauchery by the Carlito, at the Irish Pub Le Trèfle, at La Maison de Débauche par le Carlito, Le Trèfle, Le Grill, Poivre Noir, Bistro l’Ancêtre, O’Centro Pub & Grill, Angéline Bar Ristorante, Nord-Ouest Café, bar l’Embuscade and Brasier 1908.

International Shows at the Cogeco Amphitheatre – Passports ($)

In addition to the free downtown program, blues fans will meet at the Cogeco Amphitheatre where an impressive lineup of artists will perform on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Let's note, among others, the performances of headliners Melissa Etheridge on August 22, Colin James on August 23 and Los Lobos on August 24. These shows are accessible with the passport for the 3-day festival.
