Burton Cummings at Trois-Rivières en Blues! Billy Branch and Jamiah Rogers arrive from Chicago

21 juin 2023

The Trois-Rivières en Blues organization is delighted to invite Canadian rock legend Burton Cummings to close the evening on Saturday, August 26 at the Amphithéâtre Cogeco!

Sugar Ray & The Bluetones - August 25, 7:00 p.m.
An unrivalled raconteur, the 69-year-old ex-Roomful of Blues knows how to steer his ship with songs that hit the nail on the head, from joyful swing to more classic blues with his Blue Tones, inseparable accomplices for decades. Inspired on the little instrument by the innovative Little Walter, Sugar Ray Norcia earned a Grammy nomination in 1999 for his participation in the Superharps album, alongside Billy Branch, who will also be part of this 15th edition!

Billy Branch & Sons of Blues et Jamiah Rogers - August 26, 8:15 p.m.
Just before Burtin Cummings, Chicago blues in its purest definition courtesy of 71-year-old veteran harmonica player Billy Branch and his band Sons of Blues! In 2020, he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. Once a member of Willie Dixon's Chicago Blues All Stars, he's now following in Little Walter's footsteps, with a crisp harmonica sound to match. First time at the festival! The face of the new generation, guitarist Jamiah Rogers returns to the Mauricie region to delight us all. We look forward to some great duels!

Burton Cummings - August 26, 9:45 p.m.
An original member of Winnipeg's The Guess Who, world-renowned for his timeless and immensely popular songs American Woman, These Eyes, No Time, Hand Me Down World, No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature, Undun, Share The Land and Stand Tall in his solo career, the 75-year-old singer, pianist and songwriter is now a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Order of Canada, not to mention all the Juno Awards he's won along the way. What more could you ask for than a host of unifying tunes, lively classic rock and a jubilant audience?

Guitarist JP Soars and violinist Anne Harris will sound the first notes of this tantalizing triple bill on Saturday at the Amphithéâtre Cogeco.
